The group will meet every other month on a designated date and time to be established. You don’t have to attend every meeting. AILEYCAMP THE GROUP
AILEYCAMP THE GROUP (ACTG) students participate in two classes each week
Levels offered: I, II, III
ACTG was created in 1995 by Chief Artistic Officer, Tyrone Aiken, for students that complete AileyCamp. ACTG students are in grades seven through twelve and take two dance classes per week in ballet, modern, and jazz dance and participate in personal development classes. ACTG has three levels with student placement based on their dance proficiency. Students attend field trips, cultural events, and select students are invited to perform for audiences in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey is proud of our AileyCamp the Group graduating seniors or Berkley Scholars. Each year our Berkley Scholars graduate high school ready to continue their education in college or enter the workforce. All new ACTG students will participate in an audition placement class.
