Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey (KCFAA) has a rich 40-year history of bringing unique dance opportunities to Kansas City. Serving the community in a three-part role as an educator, presenter, and unifier, KCFAA has and continues to make significant contributions to the city’s cultural landscape.

As an arts educator, KCFAA has made a profound decision to reach children, both in and out of school, and teach critical life skills through dance. As the sole presenter of New York’s Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Ailey II in Kansas City, KCFAA provides audiences with unparalleled dance experiences, serving as the company’s only second home. Through annual symposiums and other events, KCFAA facilitates important dialogues about race, place, and diversity in Kansas City, contributing to a more inclusive and vibrant community.

We wish to celebrate our legacy with a year-long celebration and warmly invite you to participate in our 40th-anniversary activities. Continue to check this page for updates to events. If you would like to be reminded of upcoming events, please enter you email below and hit submit.
